The Expand option is available in some government form fields, such as the Form 1040 Taxable Interest field, allowing you to view detailed information about a calculated number.
To expand a government form field, do the following:
- Open a government form.
- Choose one of the following ways to display a detailed form:
- Double-click a calculated field that is expandable.
- Select a calculated field that is expandable and click
in the Navigation group on the Home tab.
- Expanding to detail, such as wages, first displays a Detail window with a list of each item comprising the total. Certain Detail windows contain an expanded Summary window. Select an item on the Detail window and click Expand again to display the Summary window.
- Click
in the Navigation group on the Home tab to return to the previous window.
